Terms & Conditions of hire

  1. This contract is between Daubeney Hall Farm (The owners) and the hirer of Daubeney Cottage. The contract is only effective once the completed booking form and payment has been received. The contract is subject to English law.
  2. Payment. For reservations made more than six weeks before the holiday start date a deposit of 20% of the total rental is payable. For bookings made less than six weeks before arrival full payment is required on booking.
  3. The deposit is non-refundable. The total holiday cost is payable not later than six weeks before arrival. Failure to make full payment may result in the cancellation of the booking and forfeit of the deposit.
  4. All cancellations must be made in writing immediately. If Daubeney Cottage can be re-let then an appropriate refund will be made less the deposit and any costs incurred.
  5. In the unlikely event that the owners have to cancel your booking, the deposit will be returned and any balance paid in full to the Hirer. Your booking will only be cancelled in exceptional circumstances that are beyond our control. Our liability for cancellation will be limited to payments made to us.
  6. Descriptions. The owners make every effort to describe Daubeney Cottage fairly. However, they cannot be responsible for any defects in the description.
  7. The number of persons using the accommodation at any time must not exceed two. We reserve the right to terminate the booking without notice and without refund in case of a breach of this condition
  8. Care of Daubeney Cottage. The hirer is responsible for the property during their occupation and for leaving the cottage in good order and in clean condition. Any breakages or damage should be reported to the Owner before departure.
  9. Smoking is not permitted within the premises.
  10. Pets are the responsibility of their owners and must be kept under strict control and on a lead at all times in public and garden areas. Pets must not be left unattended on the premises and are not permitted on the furniture. Please also clean up after your pet in the garden areas
  11. If you have a problem during your stay you must notify the Owners immediately and we will do our best to rectify as soon as possible. On no account will be complaints be accepted after the end of your stay.
  12. Right of Entry. The Owners or their representative reserve the right to enter the property at reasonable times to inspect the property and carry out emergency repairs.
  13. The owners regret that they cannot be held responsible for any accident or loss whilst on the premises.
